Happy new year

So its a bit late *shrug*

New years eve was...civilised. I'm not entirely sure it was as much fun as normal but it was definitely novel to sit around a table and eat a meal with only a moderate amount of alchohol. I don't see it catching on though...

On the other hand its probably the last time I'll do a new year with some of my friends still thinking I'm male so what the hell. The whole civilised thing made at least one of them happy. I swear he thought I was going to drop the bomb on everyone and come out of my room in a leather mini dress and thigh high boots or something. Not that I own either item, or would wear them, or would do that to my friends (well, probably not)

I'm sure he'll stop twitching when he looks at me eventually but I think he's going to be happier supporting from a distance which is ok I guess? Any support is good support right? I mean at least he didn't run around in little circles crying that the sky was falling or anything.

This year promises to be interesting. There'll be good and bad and meh but at the end of it this year will be better than the last one.

To anyone else that randomly stumbles on this, happy new year, have a good one and remember, following what you need to do might hurt and suck but in the end it'll be worth it (honest)

I kind of liked the civilised thing. I know, that's cos I'm all middle-aged and domesticated, but I like spending time with my mates that's restful and with good conversation. And I also like the not-starting-the-year-with-a-hangover thing too.

I hadn't realised S was being quite so weird about everything, though...
